I am a sound designer / sound artist and composer of electronic - electroacoustic music based in The Hague. As a sound artist, I am attracted to several fields including sound and music, such as installations, dancing, video and films. My works are mostly compositions for fixed media.
Part of my research focuses on conceptual composition, sonic images, as well as the perception/imagination of the listener in electroacoustic music. Through my music I explore the power of space and time as compositional tools that affect listener's perception and I have a particular interest in the combination of computer generated sounds with physical sound sources (soundscapes, musical instruments etc).
Apart from my personal works, I often collaborate with other artists mainly -but not only- musicians. Currently I am also working as a sound designer and/or composer for several films.

B i o

I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2000 I moved to Rethimno, Crete where I studied Music Technology and Acoustics (BS). A few years later, I finished the master's program Arts and Technologies of Sound (MA) in Corfu. During the period 2005-2009, I worked as a sound engineer at Melodia, a radio station in Athens. Since 2009 I live in The Hague, The Netherlands where I recently graduated from the Institute of Sonology (MA), Royal Conservatory. My studies were supported by a scholarship from the Greek National Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for research in the field of electroacoustic music composition.

Some of my teachers were Kees Tazelaar, Paul Berg, Richard Barrett, Johan van Kreij, Nikolas Valsamakis, Katerina Tzedaki, Iannis Zannos, Theodoros Lotis and Andreas Mniestris. I have also participated in several workshops and seminars concerning electroacoustic music composition, sound design, sound production and sound programming by Leigh Landy, Julio D'Escrivan, Rodrigo Sigal, Ricardo Climent, Joel Chadabe, Scott Wilson, Fransisco Colasanto, Gregorio Jimenez, Carla Scaletti-Kurt Hebel, John Richards, Richard Elen, Kim Cascone, Pete Batchelor, Dimitris Kamarotos, Vassilis Kokkas and Alessandro Cipriani.
